About Yarmouk University
Established in 1976 Yarmouk University, also abbreviated as YU, is a public, comprehensive and state supported university located in Northern Jordan, Irbid.
The name “Yarmouk” is derived from the “Battle Of Yarmouk” which happened on the 20th August 636M.
According to QS Global Ranking, Yarmouk University ranked 33 among the best Arab universities and ranked third locally for 2019. Yarmouk University is internationally renowned as well, hosting students from all around the
world.
